Central dust extraction systems
Central dust extraction systems , which are today still mostly applied in Chemical and Pharmaceutical industries are in this field of industry completely unsuitable. The filter units are by far too far away from the production machines, so that very long pipes are required, which can never be cleaned as required.
The air velocities in the pipes cannot be maintained in such a way that no dust deposits occur in the pipes. Dust deposits in the pipe system mean that the necessary pressures and air volumes can no longer be maintained within the respective production room, resulting that containment is broken.
Filtration islands
By engineering filtration islands, the self-cleaning HEPA filter systems can be installed as close as possible to production machines, so that the ducts are as short as possible, can be cleaned, air volumes and pressures can be maintained, and thus no contamination of the operator or cross-contamination can occur.
Due to the fact that self-cleaning HEPA filter units are designed in a way, so that no dust explosion can occur within, they are highly suitable to be installed inside the building close to production sites.
